On Thursday 8^th May 2025, the children celebrated VE Day. We started the day with an assembly to learn what VE Day was and why it is important to recognise and celebrate it. In classes, the children wrote messages of gratitude and positivity which have been displayed as bunting in our corridors. They also studied sources from 80 years ago to further their understanding as well as sing songs that would have been sung on VE day 80 years ago. There were even some VE Day-themed muffins at lunchtime! It was lovely to see the children so engaged in their activities and so respectful of all who were involved in World War 2.
