Greek Day

Today Year 6 held a Greek Day to celebrate the end of their history unit on Ancient Greece.

They participated in a range of activities throughout the day, including: making a scratch art Greek vase, Greek-themed maths, making Greek god Top Trump cards, discovering the legacy of the Ancient Greeks and a Greek food tasting.  Everyone particularly enjoyed the food tasting and there were a range of Greek foods on offer - feta cheese, olives, pomegranate seeds, tzatziki and pitta bread to name but a few. As you can see from the photographs, olives were very divisive amongst the children! The costumes that the children wore were excellent and really added to the fun of the day.
We are now looking forward to our new history unit in the Summer Term!
