We walked down to the orchard at the end of the school day and, first of all, were given a tour of the orchard.  We found the Greenside apple trees which had been planted (but do not yet have any apples growing), looked at the new enclosure for the bees and then headed round to the nursery. Here, we planted some sweet peas, making sure to prop them up against the willow structures so that they can climb. We have them a good water and are looking forward to watching them grow over the next few weeks! After a good wash of our muddy hands, we then created maps of the orchard and included our own ideas of what we would like to see included at the Community Orchard. There were some great ideas, including a maze and a climbing frame.
