Today we are celebrating the Hindu festival of Holi which is a celebration of colour and welcoming spring time. We have all come to school dressed in our brightest clothes to get our celebrations off to a colourful start!

We have been finding out how to prepare for Holi and some of the traditions that take place around the world. We were amazed to watch the carnival of elephants parading in Jaipur and decided to make our own festival elephants.

We have been watching and joining in with some traditional dancing and exploring how colours change when they are mixed.

We have also enjoyed making and tasting some traditional festival foods. It has been an enjoyable day for us all.
