This week, the children have been learning all about the Hindu festival of Diwali, which will be celebrated on 20th October. We explored how and why Diwali is celebrated, including listening to the story of Rama and Sita through puppets and learning a fun traditional dance. The children enjoyed trying on traditional clothing, making colourful rangoli patterns with rice, and creating their own firework pictures to represent the Festival of Light. We were also lucky to have a special visitor who shared how her family celebrates Diwali, helping bring the festival to life for the children. It’s been a joyful week of learning, creativity, and celebration!
