Remembrance Day 2025

On Monday 11th November 2025, children and staff at Greenside Primary School came together for a special moment of reflection to mark Remembrance Day.

Across the school, pupils from Nursery to Year 6 took time to learn about the importance of remembrance and to think about those who have lost their lives in conflicts past and present. Each child created their own unique poppy, carefully designed and crafted to show their respect and gratitude.

These poppies were placed in our Remembrance Garden, creating a display of red and green that served as a symbol of peace, hope, and unity.

At 11 o’clock, the whole school paid their respects with a minute of silence. Children stood quietly, showing great maturity and thoughtfulness as they reflected on the sacrifices made by others.
