Exploring Artefacts in Year 6

Year 6 have enjoyed exploring artefacts to learn more about their topic, Ancient Greece.

By studying objects such as theatrical masks, statues of athletes, coins, oil lamps, writing tablets, and children’s toys, pupils acted like historians and made careful inferences about daily life, sport, education, religion, and entertainment. This hands-on learning helped them develop their historical enquiry skills and gain a deeper understanding of Ancient Greek society.
