Nursery Visit Hall Hill Farm

Today, Nursery went on their first-ever school visit to Hall Hill Farm in Durham. After a short journey on a special gold bus, we arrived at the farm, where the weather was glorious.

Before lunch, the children learnt lots about farmyard animals. They had the opportunity to hold baby chicks and guinea pigs, before feeding the Highland cows, goats and sheep.

We then enjoyed our packed lunches in the café, followed by some time to run around in the soft play area. After lunch, we went on a red tractor ride around the farm. Although it was a little bumpy, the children loved spotting the llamas, alpacas and ponies along the way.

Before heading home, we fed the ponies and pigs and even learnt how to milk a cow!

It was a fun-filled day enjoyed by all. Thank you to our volunteers who attended.
