Welcome to Reception.  We’ve had a very busy and exciting few weeks settling into our new learning environment and getting to know our new routines, friends and teachers. We have especially enjoyed spending lots of time outdoors while we’ve been lucky enough to enjoy some lovely weather.

We have been busy exploring our outdoor provision, including our two-wheeled scooters and bikes, our new sand area and our climbing area. We even worked together to create our very own obstacle course, carefully using our balancing and climbing skills to complete the course. It has been wonderful to see the children challenging themselves, developing their confidence and supporting one another along the way.

We’ve also enjoyed a little harvest from our garden. We picked potatoes, beetroot, cucumber and runner beans and were lucky enough to taste some of our freshly grown produce at snack time. A big thank you to Mrs Cowen for helping us enjoy such a delicious and healthy snack. 

We’ve had a fantastic few weeks and are incredibly proud of how well the children have settled into Reception. We are excited to see what the rest of the half term has in store and look forward to lots more learning, exploring and fun together.
