Today, Year 2 were treated to a visit from Richard Stephenson, otherwise known as ' That History Bloke'. He spent the morning giving us a wonderful workshop all about the Great Fire of Gateshead and Newcastle. We learnt all about Victorian life on the Quayside as well as the geography of the area at the time. Next, Richard showed us how the fire started and the impact it had on the area. We learnt through action, song and most of all through having lots of fun!
