Year 3 at the Great North Museum

Year 3 had an excellent educational visit to the Great North Museum where they enjoyed a day full of exciting discoveries and hands-on learning.

As part of their history studies, the children had the opportunity to get up close to a range of Ancient Egyptian artefacts. They carefully looked at objects from the past, discussed what they were used for and learnt more about daily life in Ancient Egypt.

The children also explored the museum’s fascinating animal collections by studying animals from different climate zones around the world.

There was also time to explore the rest of the museum. From ancient history displays to natural science exhibits, the children were full of curiosity and enthusiasm as they discovered new and interesting facts throughout the day.
