The children learnt about how the fire started, how it spread, and what they did to put it out. They then looked at various items from the Victorian era and enjoyed trying to figure out what the items were used for. To end the session, the children performed a puppet show to retell the story of The Great Fire of Newcastle and Gateshead. They really enjoyed this activity and did a fantastic job at being puppet masters.
