Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Great North Museum! They explored the Ancient Egyptian gallery and saw a real mummy! They enjoyed working out secret messages using hieroglyphs and learning all about the Egyptians' journey to the afterlife. They even found a replica of the Rosetta Stone and Tutankhamun's golden mask! Working in groups, they built a Lego model of the Step Pyramid. We visited the animals and habitats gallery as part of our Science and Geography learning, finding out lots of information about the different climate zones all the animals came from!
