As part of our celebrations, children learnt a poem at home and proudly shared it with their class. Representatives from each class then performed their poems in our celebration assembly. The performances were full of energy and demonstrated a real love of poetry — it was wonderful to see our pupils bringing words to life. On National Poetry Day, teachers also shared their favourite poems, sparking wonderful conversations about rhythm, rhyme, and meaning.
