Christingles in Year 4
This week, our Year 4 pupils have been busy making Christingles as part of their learning about Advent and the Christmas season. Each Christingle is a symbolic object that represents different elements of the Christian faith:
- The orange represents the world.
- The red ribbon symbolises the love and blood of Christ.
- The candle stands for Jesus as the light of the world.
- The sweets and fruits remind us of God’s gifts and creation.
The children enjoyed crafting their Christingles and learning about their meaning.
