Over the last few weeks, our Year 4 children have been diving into the fascinating world of electricity. As part of their science lessons, they’ve been learning how to build a simple electrical circuit to light up a bulb. Using wires, batteries, and bulbs, the children discovered how electricity flows and what is needed to make a complete circuit.

Once they mastered lighting the bulb, the next challenge was adding a switch. This allowed them to control the flow of electricity—turning the light on and off just like in real life! The children are looking forward to finding out more about electricity after Christmas.
