Our nursery children were delighted to welcome Postman Lee as part of our topic, People Who Help Us. He spoke to the children about how he delivers letters and parcels, helping people in the community every day.

The children enjoyed looking at his uniform, mailbag and the items he uses while out on his rounds. They listened carefully and asked questions about his job and how he makes sure post gets to the right homes.

Postman Lee kindly brought along special envelopes and stamps, and the children had lots of fun sticking on their stamps and posting their letters, just like real postmen and postwomen.

Using what they had learned from Postman Lee, the children confidently took on the role of a postman in the role play area, delivering letters and parcels just like the real thing.
