As part of our "People Who Help Us" topic, Nursery and Reception had a very special visit this afternoon from Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service. The children were given a wonderful opportunity to learn about the vital work of firefighters in our community.

The children were excited as they got the chance to sit inside the fire engine and explore all the different equipment that firefighters wear to keep them safe. 

The highlight of the afternoon was definitely getting to have a go with the powerful hose! Everyone was amazed by how strong the water was.

A huge thank you to Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue for taking the time to visit us. We all learned so much and had a fantastic time! It was a truly memorable experience for our little ones.
