We’ve had a fantastic first day on residential! After arriving, the children quickly settled into their bedrooms before enjoying lunch together and catching up with their friends.

This afternoon, the children split into activity groups. One group ventured underground to explore Goldscope Mine. Meanwhile, another group took to the water for a canoeing session on Derwent Water, developing their teamwork skills while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Following a delicious dinner, everyone came back together for an evening of team-building games. The children showed great teamwork, leadership skills and resilience!

We are incredibly proud of how well all the children have settled in, and we’re looking forward to another exciting day tomorrow!
