Year 3 have been learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali in RE. The children enjoyed reading the story of Rama and Sita and finding out why this story is important during Diwali celebrations.

They investigated the different ways that Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated and explored some of the special traditions associated with the festival.

The children particularly enjoyed getting creative by designing their own Rangoli patterns and making colourful Diva lamps.
