Year 1 had a fantastic day exploring the 1950s town at Beamish Museum! We stepped back in time as we visited the houses, police station and shops, discovering what life was like for children and families in the past. We even had the chance to visit the cinema, experiencing another part of 1950s life! We enjoyed looking at the different objects, buildings and everyday items, comparing them with what we have today and spotting similarities and differences. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring our history learning to life and experience first-hand how much life has changed over the years!
