Last week, Year 4 welcomed parents, grandparents and other family members into school for a great joining in session linked to their history topic on the Anglo‑Saxons. The children and adults worked side by side on a range of creative art and craft activities.

As part of their learning, pupils have been exploring Anglo‑Saxon life, culture and communication. Families had great fun writing their names and secret messages using Anglo‑Saxon runes, designing an Anglo‑Saxon village and drawing an Anglo‑Saxon geometric heart.

The event was filled with smiles, creativity and teamwork. A huge thank you to all the family members who joined us and helped make the session so enjoyable. Year 4 loved sharing their learning, and we look forward to welcoming you again soon!
