Despite a slightly delayed start, Year 6 have enjoyed a fantastic first day on their residential to Derwent Hill.
Once we arrived, we were organised into our dormitories and the children attempted their first challenge – making their beds. After lunch, both groups headed out on a hill walk and climbed to the summit of Latrigg. The view from the top was amazing and we could even see Derwent Hill.
Everyone had worked up an appetite for tea and there were lots of clean plates! It’s free time now before ‘hopefully’ a goodnight’s sleep.
